One thousand pounds of seed of Pinus Massoniana were purchased from Pok Lo district, the seeds from this district are of good quality and the required quantity can be procured at much lower cost than by collection in the Colony.

REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE.
A statement of the Revenue collected by the Department and comparison of Revenue and Expenditure are given in Tables IV and V.
STAFF.
The services of Mr. F. L. Squibbs the Assistant Superintendent were dispensed with on ground of economy as from October 17th.
Mr. G. B. Twemlow the Supervisor proceeded to the Philippine Islands on April 20th to undergo a course of training at the School of Forestry at Los Banos.
Mr. Yik Kung Ting the Assistant Head Gardener left on September 15th and the post was not filled before the end of the year.
Forest Guard Wong Fat died in the Government Civil Hospital on February 14th after 15 years of very satisfactory service.
