The water supplies from the various filter beds was also examined for the information of the Water Engineer as often as possible under present Laboratory conditions.
Special examinations were carried out on eleven filter beds.
Eight water samples were examined and reported upon from various places in South China outside the Colony.

Special Autogenous Vaccines were prepared and issued in 18 cases, of these 15 were for various Government Institutions and 3 for private practitioners in the Colony.
12.—POST-MORTEM EXAMINATIONS AT THE VICTORIA MORTUARY.
The total number of autopsies was 3,568; the results are tabulated in Appendix O attached.
13. MEDICO-LEGAL WORK.
Special autopsies were carried out and examinations made for medico-legal purposes in 67 cases.
34 articles were examined and reported upon for the presence of blood, Spermatozoa &c. for Police evidence.
The necessary expert medico-legal evidence in the Supreme Court, Coroner's and Magistrate's Courts was given by the Government Bacteriologist.
14. MALIGNANT DISEASE.
The number of sections of tissues examined and reported upon for Malignant Diseases was 38.
