Nine hundred and fifty (950) Warrants were withdrawn on settlement between the parties as against 540 in 1924.
The fees collected amounted to $29,302.25 as against $5,054.50 in 1924.
3.-CRIMINAL JURISDICTION.
There were 148 cases and 190 persons committed for trial at the Criminal Sessions, as against 118 and 164 respectively in 1924.
The number of the persons actually indicted was 190 of whom 141 were convicted and 32 were acquitted. Against 16 persons the case was abandoned. Against one person bail was forfeited. In 1924 the figures were respectively 157, 137, 20 and 6.
4.-APPELLATE JURISDICTION.
Twelve Appeals were lodged during the year.
Of the Twelve, one was dismissed, one was granted, three are pending and the remaining seven were withdrawn or settled.
5.-ADMIRALTY JURISDICTION.
Twenty six actions were instituted during the year.
Twenty two were tried, one was settled and the others are pending.
The fees collected amounted to $1,876.65 as against $1,056.75 in 1924.
6. BANKRUPTCY JURISDICTION.
Forty five (45) petitions were filed, 20 being creditors' petitions and 25 debtors' petitions. The figures for 1924 were respectively 15, 5 and 10.
The number of Receiving Orders made was 26, being 10 on creditors' petitions and 16 on debtors' petitions. The figures for 1924 were respectively 5, 1 and 4.
The number of Public Examinations held was 2 as against nil in 1924. There were 10 Adjudications as against 3 in 1924.
No Scheme of Arrangement was put through. Four petitions were withdrawn, bankrupts obtained their discharge, 2 Receiving Orders were rescinded, 8 petitions were dismissed, and 1 adjudication annulled.
