117. Government Civil Hospital—Extension Quarters.—This work consists of a three-storey brick building adjoining the present quarters, Shanghai Plaster being used externally, and contains 14 bedrooms, a sitting room for the Matron, and the usual bathrooms, box rooms, etc.
The contract was let to Messrs. Trollope and Colls (Far East), Ltd., in May, and satisfactory progress made with the work, the building at the end of the year being up to the first floor level.

The three shelters at:
(a) Garden Road, at its junction with Bowen Road,
(b) Macdonnell Road, to the West of Calder Path, and
(c) Glenealy, at its junction with Albert Road,
were satisfactorily completed towards the end of the year.

119. Motor Garage near P.W.D. Offices.—This building, to accommodate 6 cars with a workshop attached, was constructed in brick with Asbestos sheet roofing carried on reinforced concrete purlins.
A contract for the work was let to Messrs. Yee Lee & Co. in June, and by the end of the year it was satisfactorily completed.
