(iii.) Valuations for Contract Securities-5 properties

totalling $732,210.

(iv.) Special valuations required by Government of sundry properties, including Rennies Mills at Junk Bay, the Aberdeen Paper Mills, and the Nan Yang Brothers Tobacco Company's Works at Wanchai-11 properties totalling $2,778,315.

(v.) Valuations for resumptions required in connection with the proposed new lay-outs and road improvements not included in schedule on pages 56 and 59 including East Point Lay-out and certain properties affected by the Town Planning Scheme in Kowloon-55 properties totalling $4,292,114.

(vii.) Valuations of the structures only on numerous lots affected by the Town Planning Scheme for Kowloon and the New Territories. In these cases areas on the new lay-out are granted in exchange for the old lots, and cash payments made in compensation for the buildings. Particulars of the exchanges effected will be found in the table of Conversions and Exchanges on pages 12 to 29.

Excluding the schedules of valuations for villages referred to above, the total number of properties valued for all purposes during the year was 180 aggregating $15,205,929.

In the case of all properties rebuilt in streets affected by widening schemes, the new building lines were set out and checked.
