Kowloon-Canton Railway,—Special Expenditure, installation of telegraph instruments at Shum Chun and Kowloon Stations.—A Morse Recording Telegraph Service was established between Kowloon and Shum Chun Railway Stations with switching apparatus to enable Kowloon to communicate direct with the Chinese Station.

208. Quarters for Married Indian Police,—New Territories: This work consisted of the provision of detached blocks each containing three rooms with kitchen, bathroom, &c., and designed to accommodate two Married Indian Police.
A Contract for $4,914.95 per block was signed by Messrs. Pang Keng Che on the 4th of December and work was commenced on two blocks, one at Au Tau and the other at Lok Ma Chau.
