GENERAL.
Apart from the unprecedented number of opium seizures, Revenue Officers in the course of their duties seized 786 gallons of Chinese Wine, 159 bottles of European Liquors, 569 lbs. of Chinese Tobacco, 583 lbs. of Foreign Tobacco, 11,650 cigars, 1,218,288 cigarettes, 217 arms of various kinds, 54,997 rounds of ammunition and 41 lottery tickets.
REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE.
The net revenue collected by this Department was $8,222,781.86, an increase of $2,181,915.69 as compared with 1921.
The actual expenditure of this Department for the year was $631,733.97, an increase of $39,977.93 as compared with 1921.
