138. Cheung Chau,-Drain in main street.—This work was undertaken to improve the sanitary condition of the village, the old drains being in a very bad state. It comprised the construction of 1,740 lineal feet of 12" cement concrete channels, the taking up, dressing and resetting of 250 square yards of paving stones and the laying of 500 square yards of cement concrete surfacing, 4″ thick.
