The approach road is carried on an embankment about 200 feet long, the slopes being protected by rubble pitching. The surfacing is of decomposed granite.

As explained in paragraph 99 of this Report, the construction of the road to Sha Tau Kok by the Public Works Department terminated at Au Ha Gap, all work to the eastward of that point being executed by the Railway Department.
