Reading :-"Uncle Tom's Cabin" and Selections from the 'Spectator' will be read in Class. During the Session students will be required to read the following books privately :-"Ivanhoe", The Talisman and "Hereward the Wake", all with notes. Students will be expected to show a general knowledge only of these books. They must be able to give evidence to the Examiners of having read and generally understood them.
