British Dollar as Legal Tender, Agrees that it is undesirable to take any farther steps unless a branch of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation is established at Wei-hai- Wei, and states that the drafting of the proposed Order in Council will not be proceeded with until the Bank has arrived at a decision.
Chinese Jurisdiction within the walled city of Wei-hai-Wei. Advises that no change should be made in existing arrangements so long as they work as smoothly as at present.
Jurisdiction of Magistrate in Civil Cases. Transmits copies of two Ordinances recently passed in the Seychelles and Falkland Islands for use in framing an Ordinance in Wei-hai-Wei.
