SIR,

No. 44.
TREASURY to COLONIAL OFFICE.
(Received 1st December, 1915.)
Treasury Chambers, 30th November, 1915. HAVE laid before the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury Mr. Lambert's letter, received in this Department on the 15th ultimo (17606/15),* respecting the proposed renewal of the grant to the Imperial Bureau of Entomology of £500 a year from Imperial funds.
In reply I am to request you to inform Mr. Secretary Bonar Law that my lords sanction the continuance of the grant at its existing amount for a further period of one year.
It appears to them that it will be desirable to review the question of its further renewal in a year's time, when the question of continuing the grants for Tropical Diseases Investigation, for the Tropical Diseases Bureau, and for Entomological Research comes up for consideration.
I am, &c.,
T. L. HEATH.
