H. Cockayne, Biologist of the De- partment of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce; and that New Zea land is in favour of mycologists as well as entomologists attending the Conference.

Asks that the French, Japanese, and Netherlands Governments may be reminded of their promises to furnish the Imperial Bureau of Entomology with information as to the distribu- tion of mosquitoes, and, in particu. lar, of Stegomyia, in their posses- sions in the Pacific and the Far East, and may be asked to take such action in the matter as is possible.
Recommends the suggestion of the Managing Committee of the Imperial Bureau of Entomology that the various Governments should renew the grants made for three years from 1912 for a further period of three years (1916-1918).

States that the Finance Sub-Commit. : tee has decided that a special officer should be appointed for the purpose of visiting certain ports in the East in connexion with the 8tegomyia sur- vey, and recommended Dr. Stanton, Bacteriologist at the Medical Re- search Institute, Kuala Lumpur, if his services can be spared; suggests that the Malay States Government might be willing to share the cost of the inquiry.
Transmits copy of No. 5; trusts that his Government will be able to lend Dr. Stanton temporarily for the work I proposed; requests him to bear in mind the great importance of the work proposed to the Malay States in considering the proposal that the Colony should bear a share of the cost.

Transmits a copy of a note from His Majesty's Minister at The Hague enclosing copy of one from the Netherlands Minister for Foreign Affairs stating that the Minister of Colonies is being requested to hasten the inquiry on the subject of Sleyom- yia in the Netherland Indies.
States that Mr. Harcourt has agreed that the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries should be represented on the Managing Committee of the Bureau, and he understands that Mr. J. C. F. Fryer, Entomological In- spector of the Board, will be nominated.
Forwards report by the Government Bacteriologist summarising the results obtained in 1914 in the inves- tigation of mosquitoes.
States that the annual contribution of the Colony to the Imperial Bureau of Entomology will cease at the end of 1915.
