Quotes a letter from the Inspector-General of Customs regarding the Chinese Soviet at Hankow and encloses, with comments, translations of press state- ments regarding the "Han- kow incident"

Draws attention to statements by the Canton Authorities on the policy of the Nationalist Government. Reports upon the success towards averting another general strike of the ver- nacular propaganda bureau started in Hong Kong in 1925 by Dr. R. H. Kote- wall, C.M.G.
