The HONORARY SECRETARY, Singapore Bar Committee, to the ACTING

Singapore, March 30, 1901. I HAVE the honour to forward you copy of a Resolution unanimously passed at a meeting of the members of the Singapore Bar held to-day:-

"That the members of the Bar of the Straits Settlements at Singapore desire to express their entire agreement with the motion proposed by the Honourable W. J. Napier, and passed by the Legislative Council on the 5th of March, 1901, viz. :

"In the opinion of the Council it is expedient that, in any reconstruction of the Final Court of Appeal from the Courts of His Majesty's Colonics, provision shall be made that one member of such Court be selected from the Judges or retired Judges of the Crown Colonies;"

and to request you to ask his Excellency the Officer administering the Government to forward the same to the Secretary of Stato.
