Mauritius (6 of 1838) including Seychelles, follows the French Code; Malta has a code of its own, see Proclamation of 1854, a consolidated code of 1883, and an amending Ordnance of 1900,
British Guiana in No. 18 of 1893 has a code, the arrangement of which is taken from the Jamaica code, and the actual language from the Acts of 1861; while gaps are filled in by definitions and so forth taken from the English Code.
