• Note. In addition to this List, the Executive Councillors of the Colonies of the Cape of Good Hope, Victoria, and Tasmania, and the Privy Councillors of the Dominion of Canada, retain their position as Executive or Privy Councillors for life, and with it the title of "Honourable."
This title, which formerly was only local, having now, in so far as appertaining to Councillors in Responsible Government Colonies, been given currency throughout Her Majesty's Dominions, these gentlemen are entitled to be addressed as "The Honourable."
