The trypanosidal effect of the urine of a human patient who has been treated with "Bayer 205" was investigated on a rat which was infected with T. rhodesiense. While unsuccessful in completely removing the trypanosomes from the rat's blood the course of the disease was much modified and the death of the rat was considerably delayed.

Researches have also been carried out on the life history of T. cruzi, and on the varying degrees of virulence of certain African trypanosomes. These will be published later on.

The following is a list of the papers published during the half-year in question: (1) A Case of Ispospora hominis (Rivolta), Dobell. Probably contracted in Durban, South Africa. By Drs. H. B. Newham and Andrew Robertson. Jour, of Trop. Med. & Hyg., 1st November, 1922.

(2) A Case of Human Infection with Eimeria oryspora, Dobell, 1919. By Drs. J. G. Thomson and Andrew Robertson. "Jour, of Trop. Med. & Hyg., 1st December, 1922.

(3) The Action of the Urine of a Human Patient Treated with "Bayer 205" on an Infection of Trypanosoma rhodesiense in an Experimental Animal. By Drs. J. G. Thomson and Andrew Robertson. Trans. Roy. Soc. of Trop. Med. & Hyg., 1923, January. Vol. XVI., No. 7.
