Government House, Uganda, 2nd September, 1916. In continuation of my despatch No. 240, of the 20th August, 1915,* I have the honour to transmit :-

(a) A return of the game licences which have been issued in the Protectorate between the 1st January and 31st December, 1915, together with

(b) A summary of game shot under licences during the period named. 2. Six prosecutions, all being against natives, were undertaken during the year for breaches of the game laws, in which one conviction was obtained for hunting animals without a licence, one for being in possession of firearms, and one for illegally exporting a buffalo hide. In the other three cases the persons accused were discharged.
