1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Alien Enemies' Lands Ordinance, 1915, and shall apply to the Colony and Protectorate.

2. Definitions.-"Land" includes any right, title, or interest in any of the lands mentioned in the first column of the Schedule to this Ordinance, and all "Court means the Supreme Court buildings thereon and appurtenances thereof. of the Colony of Nigeria.

Every instrument (other than a will) affecting any land mentioned in the first column of the Schedule to this Ordinance executed after, and every will affect- ing such land of a testator dying after, the date of the instrument affecting such land set forth in the second column of the said Schedule by the grantee or grantees thereof, or by any person or persons claiming through or under such grantee or grantees, is hereby declared to be null and void: provided always that nothing herein contained shall affect any instrument executed by a Receiver appointed by the Court under the Aliens Restriction Ordinance, 1914.

4. Nothing in this Ordinance shall be taken to confer on any of the instru- ments set forth in the second column of the Schedule to this Ordinance any further validity or effect than any such instrument would otherwise possess.

The Governor may add to the Schedule to this Ordinance.

It shall be lawful for the Receiver of an enemy firm appointed by the Court under the Aliens Restriction Ordinance, 1914, to sell and assign without the consent of the original lessor any leasehold property of such firm, subject always to the approval of the Governor to such sale and assignment.
