There is a High Commissioner's Court, the members of which are the High Commissioner, the Judicial Commissioners, and the Deputy Commissioners.

The High Commissioner is appointed by Commission nader the Sign Mannal and may be suspended by the Secretary of State by writing under his hand.

The Chief Justice and every other Judge for the time being of the Supreme Court of Fiji is by virtue of his office a Judicial Commis- sioner for the Western Pacific. (The High Commissioner has also power to appoint Judicial Commissioners for particular purposes or for a particular time in writing under his hand and seal.) Deputy Commissioners are appointed in the name and on behalf of Her Do.

(His) Majesty by the High Commissioner, by writing under his band and seal, and can be suspended or removed by the High Commissioner.

Judges and other officers may be appointed by the High Commissioner,

subject to the approval of a Secretary of State, and such officers hold office during His Majesty's pleasure.

The High Commissioner has also powers of suspension. (The Anglo- French Convention of 1906, art. X., provides for a Joint Court of three Judges-one to beappointed by the British Government. The Colonial Office List for 1914 shows that a British Judge bas been appointed.)
