States that copies of all publications issued which deal with entomological matters will be sent direct to the Director of the Burean, and that Ministers submit the name of the Agent-General for Tasmania for con- sideration in selecting representatives on the Managing Committee. Refers, in reply to No. [5] [9], to the Secretary of State's despatch of the 28th of March and presumes that Ministers will consider that despatch and submit a further recommenda- tion.

Reports that his Government agree to contribute their proportion of £300 per annum for three years; have appointed Mr. A. M. Lea, an et officio and corresponding member of the Research Committee; do not consider it advisable at present to appoint any member of the Committee as a direct representative of the State, and have given instructions for entomological reports, &c., to be forwarded direct to the Director of the Bureau.

States that Ministers approve of the suggestion that the Agents-General for the Australian States should be invited to attend the meetings of the Managing Committee, the choice being a matter for mutual settlement.

Reports that Ministers concur in the proposal that a representative on the Managing Committee should be se- lected by the Agents-General in London.

States that Ministers concur in the proposal that the Agents-General should, in rotation, attend the meet- ings of the Managing Committee, and are suggesting to the other States that the Agent-General for New South Wales should be recognised as the medium of communication with the Committee.

States that his Government concurs in the proposal that Australia should be represented on the Managing Com- mittes by one of the Agents-General

Encloses a copy of a letter from the Acting Chief Secretary stating that a parcel of entomological literature has been sent direct to the Director of the Bureau, and that steps will be taken to empower the Agent-General to represent the Government on the Management Committee.

States that he will duly impress the Privy Council with the desirability for the appointment of an entomo- logist, and reports that £50 has been voted as a contribution for 1913-14 to the Entomological Research Committee,

Transmits a copy of a memorandum from the Minister of Agriculture stating that all publications of interest will be sent direct to the Director, that the High Commissioner is being asked to nominate a member of the present Committee as representative of New Zealand, and that measures will be taken for the payment of contributions.

States that the Committee feel it would be hardly fair to take a contribution from the Colombo Council, and suggest that the Ceylon Government might supply to the Council one or two out of the ten copies supplied to them of each number of the Review of Applied Entomology.
