I HAVE the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Lordship's Circular despatch

of the 29th July, on the subject of the proposed amendments to the Copyright Act of 1842, in which you request me to furnish any suggestions which 1 may desire to offer upon the draft Bill inclosed in your despatch.

I have the honour to report that the general provisions of this Bill are unobjectionable as regards the Leeward Islands.

I inclose a copy of a letter from the Acting Attorney-General to whom I referred your Lordship's Circular for any observations he might have to offer.
