Submits further suggestions on the subject of the examination of candi- dates for Colonial veterinary appoint- ments, and encloses a draft notification which it is proposed to issue to persons making enquiries.

Forwards a supplementary report by the Veterinary Officer upon experi- ments made to test the alleged cure for trypanosomiasis in horses and cattle.

States that the reproduction of maps of game reserves would cost a very con- siderable sum of money, and suggests that no action be taken in the matter.

Acknowledges the receipt of No. 10; states that candidates will be informed as desired; agrees that the fee should be £6 asks to be informed when Treasury concur, and returns a copy of the draft notification.

Transmits copy of a despatch from His Majesty's Minister at Lisbon enclosing a copy and translation of the regula- tions for the protection of game in the Province of Mozambique.

Sends copy of £ letter from the Secretariat at Zungeru relative to the Bupposed outbreak of pleuro- pneumonia at Zaria; states that the specimen of the lung of the ox forwarded showed no lesions of con- tagious pleuro-pneumonia, nor did a specimen sent by Captain Bissell from Bauchi.
