I HAVE the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your telegram, No. 73, of the 15th of December,* and to transmit to you, for your consideration, the accom- panying copy of correspondencet with Mr. J. Cathcart Wason, M.P., on the subject of the suitability of Entebbe as the administrative capital of the Uganda Protectorate and, in particular, of the water-supply of the place.
2. I shall no doubt hear from you shortly by despatch as to your views on the arguments advanced by the Bishop of Uganda and summarized in my telegram of the 1st of November, and also as to the further arguments in favour of retaining Entebbe as the capital referred to in your telegram, No. 68. I shall also be glad to be furnished with a report on the water-supply of Entebbe and on the means and probable cost of improving it.
