Reports that the Sleeping Sickness Expedition consisting of Dr. King- horn and Mr. Montgomery, will sail on May 4 or 11; enquires whether the School may apply to the Crown Agents for £100 towards expenses and whether an interview can be given to the doctors so that they may ex- plain the methods they propose to adopt.
Forwards copy of a despatch from His Majesty's Minister at Brussels enclos- ing a note from the Congo Govern- ment stating that the representative of the Comité Spécial du Katanga has been in communication with Mr. Cod- rington on the subject of sleeping sickness on the north-west frontier of North-Eastern Rhodesia and describ- ing measures which have been taken by the Comité Spécial.
Reports discovery of Glossina palpalis in Government House grounds, and that the fly is to be found all along the Dago River; Dr. McGahey has been sent to investigate cases at Loko; requests advice as to the precautions to be taken for preventing the spread of the disease,
