STRAITS HOMEWARD CONFERENCE.

Singapore, 7th December 1897. It is hereby notified that rates to London and the Continent from Singapore and Penang are fixed from this date until further notice as under.

Shippers are warned that shipments by sailer may be prohibited, except to Marseilles, to all Conference supporters.

(Note. Here follows a list of the new rates of freight imposed, which in this instance represented an advance without warning of 58. a ton upon the then current rates.)
