cil that the contribution should not exceed three-fourths of that from Southern Nigeria and Lagos, and states that £75 was voted for the last quarter of 1906, and £300 placed on the estimates for 1907.

Expresses appreciation of the value of the assistance and advice received from the Institute, and considers that a proposal to increase the contribution would receive unanimous support.

States that the Colonial Government

cannot see its way to contribute.

Confirms and amplifies No. 31 and transmits copy of a minute to the Legislative Council on the subject; requests an expression of views on the action taken by the Council for communication to that body.
