Reports that consideration of an ex- penditure of $960 in connection with the proposed lantern lectures has been postponed by the Combined Court nutil February, 1906.

Suggests that the Orange River Colony should bear the initial cost (£100) of preparing the South African edition, making some small necessary charge to other Colonies desiring to use the book of lectures and the slides.

Suggests that Southern Nigeria should bear the initial cost (£100) of pre- paring the West African edition, inaking some small necessary charge: to other Colonies desiring to make use of the book of lectares and the slides. Transmits copies of Nos. 34, 35, 36, 38, and 39, and requests that he will guide himself accordingly.

Proposes to instruct Mr. Rowden to enquire in England as to the most suitable lantern for lecture purposes and requests that Mr. Mackinder may undertake the preparation of the revision of the lecture.

November 7 Reports arrangements made for the distribution of lanterns and lectures for the Eastern Colonies, and trans- mits copy of a letter which Mr. Mackinder suggests should be sent out for the information of the Colo- nial Governments.
