I AM honoured with your commands signified in Mr. Elliot's letter of the 9th instant, stating that he was directed to request that I would furnish you with my opinion whether the Queen may properly be advised to leave to its operation the enclosed Act of the Legislature of the Bahamas intituled "An Act to enable the Rev. No. 1582.
Francie John Lightbourne, clerk, to exercise his office of priest within the Bahama "Islands."
In obedience to your commands, I have the honour to

That I am of opinion that Her Majesty may properly be advised to leave to its operation the above-mentioned Act of the Legislature of the Bahamas, intituled "An Act to enable the Reverend Francis John Lightbourne, clerk, to exercise his office of
a priest within the Bahama Islands."
