whole profit, benefit, and advantage, from time to time coming, growing, accruing, and arising by reason of the said discovery or invention for and during the said term of seven years.
BRITISH GUIANA.
II. The said Francis Burke shall particularly Specification to be lodged in the describe and specify the exact nature of such his
Registrar's office. discovery or invention as aforesaid, and shall, by a clear and copious instrument in writing, under his hand, accurately, fully, and explicitly disclose in what manner and mode the said discovery or inven- tion is to be carried into operation and worked, which instrument, in writing, containing such specification as aforesaid, the said Francis Burke shall, within six months uext after the passing and publication of this Ordinance, cause to be laid before the honourable the Court of Policy, and within one month thereafter to be enrolled among the records of the Colonial Registrar's Office in and for the counties of Demerara and Essequebo, in this Colony; and in case the said Francis Burke, his heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns, shall refuse or neglect to make such instrument in writing, containing such specification as is herein- before required, or shall refuse or omit to perform any of the several matters or things in this section required to be done or performed, then and in every such case all privileges and advantages whatever hereby granted shall utterly cease, determine, and become void to all intents and purposes whatever; anything herein contained to the contrary notwith- standing.
III. It shall not be lawful for any person whom soever within British Guiana, at any time during the continuance of the said term of seven years hereby granted, either directly or indirectly, to use or put in practice, within British Guiana, the said discovery or invention, or any part of the same, or in anywise to counterfeit or imitate the same, or to make or cause to be made any addition thereunto, or subtraction from the same, whereby to pretend himself or herself the discoverer or inventor thereof, without the license, consent, or agreement of the said Fraucis Burke, his heirs, executors, adminis- trators, or assigns, in writing, under his or their hands, first had and obtained in that behalf: and it
No person to use or imitate the said discovery or invention with- out the consent of the said Francis Burke.
