ARTICLE III
The administration of the King's revenues shall remain in the same hands they are in at present.
Not granted. All moneys belonging to
the King to be given up.
ARTICLE IV.
All officers of the Government, as well eccle- siastical as civil, and the inhabitants shall not be molested in their religious offices, occupations, and privileges; and all private property shall be respected.
Granted.
ARTICLE V.
All officers under Government have permision to
go to the Danish territory, without hindrance or molestation.
Not granted, with the exception of the
Civil Governor.
ARTICLE VI.
All the fishing, and the two Danish, vessels now lying in the harbour, are permitted to depart.
Not granted.
ARTICLE VII.
The officers and soldiers of the garrison, and the officers of His Danish Majesty's army, shall be per- mitted to march out with military honours, and have a safe conveyance to the next Danish port; but to remain here until the return of an officer sent to the Danish Government with the Articles of Capitulation.
The garrison must lay down their arms
and surrender themselves prisoners of war. At the same time, it will be
submitted to the Admiral's considera-

tion to permit them to return to the Danish territory on their parole of honour not to serve during the war, or on the terms required in Article VII. The latter part of this Article, requesting permission to send an officer to the Danish Government with the Articles of Capitulation, is granted; but that the officers and garrison shall await his return is not granted.
ARTICLE VIII.
All arms shall be delivered up and restored in the
same condition as they are received.
Not granted.
ARTICLE IX.
The Commandant shall receive receipts for all
military stores delivered up.
Agreed.
ARTICLE X.
As it is one of the privileges of the inhabitants of the Island not to be obliged to serve on board. King's ships contrary to their inclinations, that privilege is to be continued to them.
Agreed.
ARTICLE I (sic).
All Frenchmen in the Island shall be delivered
up as prisoners of war.
Agreed.
ARTICLE XI.
The Island to be retained for restitution at a
peace.
