IIEREAS it is expedient that the Laws Preamble.

relating to the Government of Her Majesty's Colonial Possessions shall

in certain Particulars be declared, amended, and consolidated: Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Autho. rity of the same, as follows:

PART I

Preliminary.

1. This Act may be cited for all Purposes as Title. "The Colonial Government Act, 1864."
