An ORDINANCE to provide for the issue of GOVERNMENT PAPER CURRENCY.

WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the issue of Government Paper Preamble. Currency in this Colony: Be it therefore enacted by the Governor of Ceylon, by and with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be called "The Ceylon Paper Currency Ordinance, Short title. 1884," and it shall extend to the whole of the Colony of Ceylon.
