Provided Governor of Hong Kong agrees to the appointment he may be offered salary of 1,100 pounds per annum subject to United Kingdom Income Tax plus tax-free Foreign Service Allowance of 1,080 pounds married or 840 pounds single plus furnished rent allowance if quarters not available.
