KowloCanton Railway.

First trial train 16 cmpty waggons from Canton

commenced 12th June hauledby Chinese Section locomotives with British Section pilot driver. Returned 13th June loaded railway materials including generator weighing 7 and half tons, Government continuing with one train each way dal ly. Customs Officers based in Shum Chun watched loeding at Kowloon and returned, each night as arranged.

Through goods. British section has suggested 12th June to utilize same rate plus 20% for classes 1 - The A11 classes below 14 to be charged as 14. Reply not yet received.

3.

British section locomotive expected to make trial run from Shim Chun to Canton and return of 500 tons passenger train within next few days.
