Thank you for your letter of 4th February about an increase in the range of the Hong Kong broadcasting service so as to reach listeners in China.

My Secretary of State agrees in principle to the use of the Hong Kong Station for this purpose, subject to the views of the Governor, which we are seeking as quickly as possible. I enclose a copy of a communication which we have addressed to him on the subject.
