Dear Mr. Runacre,
day Enfor reply.
21st October 1949.
We have recently been asked by the liong Kong Government if we can supply them with two copies of any literature in our possession dealing with;
(a)
(b)
Communist methods of infiltration, propaganda, and organisation in
schools, school or youth associations, or teachers' associations;
Accounts of action taken elsewhere to counter the above;
(c) Any related matters.
In this connection Mrs.Stahl has suggested
that I should write to you for your help, and I should indeed be most grateful for any literature or references you might have with bearing on this ospecially from Hong Kong.

It strikes me that Malaya has had valuable experience in dealing with Communist infiltration into its schools and we shall suggest in our reply that they should ask Malaya for the benefit of its udvice.
