of 20th June about the Regional Information Office and anti-Communist publicity work in Hong Kong.

You will by now, I expect, have seen our telegram to the Foreign Office No. 455 (repeated to you as telegram No. 166) of 25th June. We must await the views of the Foreign Office on the question of financing and staffing an Information Section in Hong Kong, and we are hoping that their reactions to the proposals will be favourable.

Thank you very much for the suggestions for items for the regional conference of Information Officers, which Rayner will incorporate in the agenda. They are questions which need urgent attention.
