Aircraft Carrier, Hong Kong
3. Air-Commodore Harvey asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty what is the number of aircraft carriers based at Hong Kong; and what arma- ment the aircraft carry.
Mr. W. Edwards: One aircraft carrier is based on Hong Kong. The aircraft with which she is equipped are capable of carrying cannon, rocket projectiles or bombs.
Air-Commodore Harvey: Will the hon. Gentleman say how many aircraft are carried by this aircraft carrier, and does he think that there are sufficient aircraft in this vital area?
Mr. Edwards: The hon. and gallant Member will have to put that question down.
