SIR GERALD TEMPLER, referring to the recent report by the Chiefs of Staff on the defence of Hong Kong, said that ho did not consider that sufficient emphasis had been placed in the cover note on the implications of providing reinforcements of the order of one division. Page 2 should include the 6 lines from paragraph 16 on pago 10. An amendment was also required to the list of army reinforcements. An armoured squadron was being sent, not an armoured regiment.
