AND COMMANDERS-IN-CHIEF FAR EAST

TOP SECRET
THE COMMITTEE was informed that difficulty was being encountered in trying to arrange a meeting between the Chiefs of Staff and the Commissioner-General and Commanders-in-Chief, Far East, during their forthcoming visit to this country owing to Exercises ARIEL and BRITANNIA.
SIR ARTHUR SANDERS said that the Chief of the Air Staff and Air Marshal Lloyd could manage the late afternoon of 20th May, morning 21st, afternoon 23rd or the morning of 24th May.
SIR GERALD TEMPLER said that the Chief of the Imperial General Staff and General Ritchie could attend on the 19th or late on the 20th, or on the afternoons of 25th or 26th May.
In discussion agreement was reached on Friday, 20th May at 5 p.m. and it was decided that the Commissioner-General should be asked if he could conveniently attend at that time.
THE COMMITTEE:-
Instructed the Secretary to make arrangements
accordingly.
