THE COMMITTEE considered a draft Report by the Chiefs. of Staff to the Defence Committeet on the forces which might be available from Australia and New Zealand to assist in the defence of Hong Kong. A number of amendments were discussed and approved.

THE COMMITTEE

(1) Approved the Report as amended in

discussion.

(2) Instructed the Secretary to arrange

for the amended Report to be circulated over their signatures to the Defence Committee.
