It may at times be possible to make a

It is clear that tpt to be kept locked up with loads of men or stores on wheels must be kept to a minimum. have NOT get the tpt resources to mot rise units for the period of operations.

The RASC tpt commitment is:-

All station standing duties including those normally done by units. These duties to be carried cut by hired tpt as much as possible.

To provide a force pool of tpt for operational tp moves, adm 2nd line duties, etc. RASC control to be retained at a Force lovel unless "G" or "Q" agree a sub-allotment of tpt can be made to Bde.

(iii) Domands for tpt for operational tp moves must come

through Bde and not direct from units under this command.

On the unit level plans were based too much on operational tp tpt which did not exist. first, unit Tpt was misused and later RASC were

Consequently asked to supply tpt for units which was kept by units for the duration. Secondly units had not worked out and practised load tables for their unit tpt.

As regards RSC tpt, this was working well and was well controlled. The chief difficulty was demands from Bic and 1 Buffs for permanent allocation of tpt to make them mobile. In view of the limited transport available this was not a fair demand.
