Objects of. Exercise "FUI TUM" were:-
(a) To practise ALL members of the HONG FCNG Garrison in
the "drill" required in the event of general unrost developing. Stages I, II, and III, as laid down in HQ Land Forces Internál Sécurity In truction No. 2.
(b) To practise the running of a Combined Headquarters
Operations Room re-uired when dealing with Internal Security Troubles accompanied by threat of attack from outside the Colony.
(c) To practise the "upply of troops by land sea,
3 air, when operating in the NE TRICIS.
(d) To exercise wireless and line communications.
and
(e) To practise the Garrison in the moverents noċessi-
tated by implementation of the presont defence plan, and local protection whilst in the field,
These objects were achieved. The efficiency or otherwise of the Defence Plan was not being tested. Some Officers partly lost sight of the Obiects hich made their tasks appear unnecessarily difficult.. The Plan will bo thoroughly tested in an Exercise to be held during March, 1949.
