Little over 10,000 men in HUNAN Province slightly exceeds the number in Kwangsi. In South China, we are in a relatively in- ferior position. However, the favourable conditions in the country a whole are beneficial to the liberation of South China; if South China is linked up with the country, it will be benefited by the new climax obtaining in the whole country. (The present climax is merely the beginning, and has not yet risen to the high- est point.) To-day South China is also facing a new climax, Coupled with extension of our armed strength, we should carry out our work with great boldness and pursue it to the greatest pos8- ible extent. This is our primary task. How long would it take us to obtain victory? Prepare for the return of the "Liang Kwang Column".
