Your telegram 113.
Wiring of frontier.
I have informed Chiefs of Staff of view stated in your paragraph 2.
2. As Dannert wire cannot now be supplied, Crown Agents have secured 171⁄2 tons of standard barbed wire equivalent to 88 miles for delivery in March arriving Hong Kong say in May. Balance to make up 135 miles of wire required is expected to be available here in April. Is this improvement in delivery programme satisfactory?
3. I presume supply of pickets is adequate for all wiring contemplated. Please confirm.
