tary and member of committee, and upon all persons managing or
assisting in the management of such society.
(2) In case any exempted or registered society fails to
comply with any order under section 6 or 7, cach of the persons men- tioned in sub-section (1) of this section shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exccoding five hundred dollars.

Every society, not being a registered society or an
pted society, shall be deemed to be an unlawful society.

10. Any person who manages or assists in the management of
any unlawful society shall be liable on summary conviction to a
fine not exceeding three thousand dollars and to imprisonment for
a term not exceeding three years.
11.
Any person who is or acts as a member of an unlawful society
or attends a meeting of an unlawful society shall be liable on summary
conviction to a fine not cxceeding one thousand dollars and to
imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year.
12.
Any person who knowingly allows a meeting of an unlawful
socioty, or of members of an unlawful society, to be held in any house, building or place belonging to or occupied by him, or over which he has control, shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine
not exceeding one thousand dollars and to imprisonment for a term not
exceeding one year.
13. (1) If in any prosecution for an offence under this Ordi-
nance it is proved that a club, company, partnership, or association exists(and it is not proved that it is a registered or an exempted society, it shall be presumed, until the contrary is proved, that the
club, company, partnership, or association is a society within the
meaning of this Ordinance.
(2) If in any prosecution for an offence under this Ordi-
nance it is proved that a club, company, partnership or association exists, it shall not be necessary to prove that the society possesses a name or under what name it has been formed or is usually known.
