Singapore Law Officers have studied carefully
While they agree the coraments of your Legal Adviser. that amendments suggested a ould constitute improvements, past experience has shown that proposed action is not likely to be challenged. I am therefore taking action to public withdrawal of exemption in respect of Kuomintang and C... on 9th May (repeat 9th May) and to issua press notics. Postponement is necessary to evold poscibility of error that might accur by precipitato action.
2. As yet activities of Kuomintang hare not been Buch as to justify refusal of registration under Section 44) of Ordinance. Any application, if presented, would have to be considered in the light of circumstances at the time, If refusal was thought to be necessary and justified, I would, as is enggested, stall pending
clarification of isenes. will be presented.
