Mr. Sidebotham.
It occurs to me
on offer some 60,000
[ of whom have been trained
since we have art-
in Iraq an as K. A. F. police
and guards whether it would not be possible to use some of these in Hong Kong.
We
are taking the first party to North Borneo, but we could easily obtain a further consignment for the Police Force and Frontier Force in Hong Kong, al short notice.
Before the war in Hong Kong they used Sikhs, but I take it this source has now dried up, and in any case the Sikh is so unreliable that I would hesitate to
enlist any more even if they were available.
Could you let me have your
comments on this proposal please?
